Long before the booth.
As a child, hours were spent in front of the radio, waiting for the exact moment to press REC.
It was not just about recording a song. It was about capturing the perfect instant when one track gave way to the next. Long before there was a mixer, the search for the perfect transition had already begun.
Music was never a pastime. It was always a way of observing the world.
Then came vinyl records, record shops, the first consoles and the work as a lighting technician. Being behind the scenes meant having the best point of view: watching, listening and learning. Before playing, there was the discipline of reading a dancefloor by observing those who guided it.
The tools have changed over the years. The philosophy has not.
From vinyl to digital production, every evolution has simply added new possibilities to a path that began long before. The search remains the same: finding the right groove, at the right moment, and letting the music tell the rest.

The Journey
From the boombox to the Technics.
Every passage added another piece to the journey.
From the first stereo systems to afternoons spent in record shops, from tapes to vinyl, every discovery fed a curiosity that was destined to grow.
Before ever putting his hands on the decks, there were the lights. As a lighting technician, every night was an exercise in listening: knowing the tracks, anticipating their shifts, and shaping the scene around the rhythm. Behind the booths, observing DJs, technicians and performers at work, a quiet apprenticeship began — built on attention to detail, patience and instinct. By watching the greats, the craft started to take shape.
When the moment finally came to put hands on the decks, it was not a beginning. It was the natural continuation of something that had started many years before.

The WiloWix sound moves between Afro House, Tech House and contemporary electronic textures: deep, hypnotic grooves, evocative melodies, cinematic atmospheres and refined sonic research.
Every track is created to accompany a journey, a night, a memory — or simply that moment when time seems to slow down and rhythm becomes emotion.

Around Midnight is the starting point of the WiloWix project: an album that captures that suspended moment when the night changes its face and the dancefloor becomes a space between energy, introspection and elegance.
The journey begins with three singles — Midnight, Closer and Secret Smile — before leading to the complete album, bringing these tracks together with new original compositions.
It is not an improvised debut, but the result of a lifelong passion finally transformed into music.

Roselle
A voice for the night
Every night has a voice. The voice of Around Midnight is Roselle.
Intimate, magnetic and at times almost suspended, her voice moves through the album as an unmistakable presence. It can feel close and sensual, fragile or melancholic, then become more distant and mysterious, changing colour without ever losing its identity.
Years of live performance have given Roselle a rare natural quality and an interpretive sensitivity that reaches beyond the words. It was in that voice that WiloWix recognised the identity he had been searching for in Around Midnight: something capable of intertwining with the project’s atmospheres, rhythms and emotional nuances until it became part of them.
She is not simply the voice interpreting the songs. She is the voice of Around Midnight.
A voice that seems to belong to the night before the music even begins.

The final sound of Around Midnight bears the signature of Alex Azzali, an Italian producer and sound engineer active in the music industry since 1989 and founder of Alpha Omega Recording Studios.
Across more than three decades, he has built extensive international experience working in studios and on productions around the world, collaborating with numerous artists and projects across the music industry.
For Around Midnight, Alex handled the mixing and mastering, bringing his experience to the final stage of the project and giving its sonic world balance, depth and cohesion.
